Introducing: Race Information Tracking, Racing Software.

Race I.T. Software

Includes electronic stop watch and lap times graph.

Parts:

  1. Predefined part types; shocks, tires, gears, etc...  These part types can be easily renamed to what fits your type of racing
  2. Enter user defined part types; shock bumper, widget, wing runner, etc....
  3. Manage parts of either system defined or user defined types.
  4. Assign parts to cars allowing multiple car/car type management.

Maintenance

  1. Enter/manage maintenance/repairs; example: run valves on engine nnnnnnn.
  2. Warn when maintenance is overdue
  3. Software automatically schedules maintenance for you.  Tell the software to schedule maintenance on a part every so many times you use that part, or every so many laps or miles that is put on the part.  The software automatically keeps track and schedules the maintenance for you.

Cars:

  1. Currently being used by teams racing; stock cars, sprint cars, modifieds, and 1 Indy car
  2. Automatically define cars as a part to allow management in maintenance system.
  3. Assign parts/engines to car.
  4. System capable of handling multiple cars of same or different types.

Engine:

  1. See to which cars engine is available.
  2. Manage maintenance
  3. See in which events engines are used.

Drivers:

  1. name, address, phone #'s, etc...

Tracks:

  1. Size, description, similar track, etc...

Sanctioning bodies:

  1. Location, phone #'s

Event types:

  1. Enter the types of events you compete in.

Race types:

  1. System defined;  Hot laps, heat, dash, a-main, etc...
  2. User defined;  transfer, consi, etc...

This is what all the rest of the data is leading to:

Events:

  • A show, consists of a day or logical set of races.
  • Consists of track, car, driver, sanctioning body, event type.
  • Shop setup: See setup below.
  • Graph event lap times and event rpm readings.

Race:

  • A race type, # laps, start position, end position, yellows, reds, incidents and comments.
  • Electronic stop watch: use the software as a digital lap timer for up to 4 cars.  Easy to use controls.  Assign real car numbers to the timer.  All lap time are displayed for all cars you are timing.  Also shows average lap times for each car and for entire race.  Shows the order that each car crossed the finish line.  Times are saved in the  database for analyzing later.  Press "r" if a red occurs, "y" for a yellow.  Race interruptions are also saved to the   database.  If a yellow or red occurs you are given the option to back up 1 lap so that you are in synch with the scorers.
  • Post race entry: enter lap times if you choose not to use stop watch.  Enter rpm readings from tach memory.
  • Weather information:  save weather conditions for each race; temp, sun, barometer, air density, etc...
  • Graph race stats: graph lap times for this race.  Graph lap times for entire event.  Compare lap 1 of heat to lap 1 of hot laps to lap 1 of a-main.  Shows color coded comparison of all laps of all races of an event.  Graph rpm for this race.  Graph rpm for this event.

Setup:

  • Now the software will suggest setups.  The suggestions are based on your experiences.  No longer will you have to look back through old notes to decide what setup worked under what conditions.  The software makes logical choices for setups that match your racing conditions.
  • Multiple setups allowed per race.
  • Enter setup for predefined parts using drop down boxes that are populated with valid parts for part type, example: show rr tires that are valid for the car entered in this event.  Also information like; ride height, turns into suspension for corner of car, etc...
  • Enter tire information on separate form; psi, circumference, offset, tire temps for 3 spots on tire.
  • Enter parts of user defined part types; widget, doo hickie, etc...
  • Enter user defined settings; wing angle, drive line angle, timing, spacing, etc...

Price:

  • Evaluate races.  The software is capable of evaluating you races for you.  Compare lap times to all other races of this type ran at this track.  Are you running faster or slower than you usually do for this race at this track.  Evaluate tire temperatures across three point on each tire versus historical information.  Is this your normal tire temperature for the outer edge of your right rear?  Also evaluates other factors.

Price:

  • $100.00 -- Try to find a better software value for racing.
